Manjil

Hello! My name is Manjil and I am 19 years old. I am working to finish my high school education. I am a dedicated student but missing classes due to my medical condition makes keeping up on my schooling difficult. Math and English are my favorite subjects. I would like to get a job working in a bank someday. When I am not studying, I enjoy watching television. I have been diagnosed with severe hemophilia A. Thankfully, I live close enough to the hemophilia treatment center that I can ride my bike there. The treatment center provides free factor, when they have it, and physiotherapy services. I live with my mother, Maina, age 37; and my brother, Manish, age 15. Manish also has hemophilia. Taking care of two children with a bleeding disorder is difficult for my single mother. My family lives in a small home in a village in Nepal. Our home is made of concrete, wood and tin. It has electricity and indoor plumbing. We do not have a refrigerator. Food is cooked on a gas burner. I have been part of the Save One Life sponsorship program since 2009. My sponsor recently discontinued their participation in the program, so I am in need of a new sponsor.
