Mohammed Qamar
Hello! My name is Mohammed Qamar and I am 8 years old. I am in the 3rd grade and my favorite school subject is math. When I grow up, I would like to become a police officer. Outside of school, I like to color, draw, and watch cartoons. My favorite cartoon is called Ben-10 which has aliens in it! I have moderate hemophilia B, and have recently experienced bleeds in my knees and gums. I received FFP (fresh frozen plasma) at the local blood bank. The mobility in my right knee has been impaired as a result of my bleeds. I do not have access to physiotherapy at this time. The medical clinic takes us 30 minutes to get to by rickshaw. I live with my mother and grandmother. My father has abandoned our family and does not provide any financial support. My mother work in a tuition center and tutors students. She earns approximately $100 a month. We live in the city of Lahore, Pakistan in a two-room apartment that is equipped with basic amenities. Meals are cooked over a small gas burner. The building we are in is quite old and is in need of repairs. The roof leaks in one of our rooms.
