Hello My name is Dichu. I am 17 years old. I live in India and I have severe hemophilia A. I am in 12th grade. I have missed about 35 days of school this past six months due to bleeds. These absences have made it difficult to keep up in school but I am working hard and making progress. I would like to be able to continue my schooling and eventually become a doctor. My favorite subject is biology. I also participate in my schools chess program. Outside of school I play soccer. This past year I celebrated my birthday with a cake cutting with my friends and relatives. Also this year I had a great time picnicking with my friends at Wagamon, a small town surrounded by beautiful green hills and meadows. In the past six months I have had to travel to the hospital for bleeds in my elbow and knee. It is about 10 kilometers from my home and we travel there by bus. Both of my elbows have been impaired by bleeds. Although I would benefit from physiotherapy, I am not receiving it right now. Instead, I do regular exercises to help improve mobility in my elbows. I live with my parents, and my 6-year-old twin sisters. My father is a casual laborer. My mother takes care of our home. I am sad to say that my grandmother died in November. We live in a village. Our house has two rooms. It is in poor condition and needs major repairs. Your sponsorship funds will support my medical care and my education.
