Alimar
Hello My name is Alimar. I am 25 years old and I live in the Philippines. I work as a Customer Service Representative. It is currently a probationary job. When I am not at work I like to play electronic games. I have hemophilia A. In the past six months I have had to travel to the hospital for treatment of bleeds in many areas, including my eye, arm and ankle. The hospital is about 27 kilometers from my home and I travel there by tricycle, bus and jeepney. Past bleeds have severely damaged my knee. My knee joint no longer works. I need physiotherapy but I cannot afford it. I live with mother and father; my older sister, who is 31 years old; and my young nephew who is 8 years old. My father is a motorcycle driver. My mother and my sister both take care of our home. This past year I have celebrated and enjoyed outings with my family. We celebrated my sisters birthday. We surprised her with a cake and roses. I have participated in my hemophilia organizations activities, Hemophilia Day and a Christmas Party. I am very sad to say that my family is grieving the loss of my beloved nephew who died this year. Our familys monthly income is about $100. We live in a city and we own our house. It has an indoor kitchen, with a refrigerator, toilet and running water. We cook on a kerosene burner. But our house is not in good condition. It needs a new roof. Your sponsorship funds will help pay for my medical care and enable me to afford physiotherapy.
