Jeeva Ratnam

Ref# INVJ027

Jeeva Ratnam
Jeeva is 24 years old and in the 3rd year of a bachelors degree program in biology. He has been enjoying his classes, which include botany, zoology, chemistry, english, and sanskrit. He is a very good student, and when he has a bleed, he works diligently to stay on top of his studies when he needs to miss time in the classroom. Outside of school, he has taken an interest in photography, and is learning how to take beautiful pictures. Jeeva has severe hemophilia A. He has had several bleeds this year, especially in his left knee. When he has a bleed in this knee, he goes to the hospital to receive factor treatment. The hospital is about 45 miles from his home. He is currently receiving physiotherapy on his left knee to try and prevent future bleeds. Jeevas bleeds have caused him to miss nearly 60 days worth of school this year. He lives at home with his parents and younger brother. His father works as an agricultural laborer and earns about $140 per month to support the family. Your sponsorship funds would help to pay for Jeevas education, as well as transportation costs for when he needs to go to the hospital for treatment.
