Mohammad

This is Mohammad. He is 18 years old and in the 11th grade. His favorite school subjects are math and language class. Mohammad has severe hemophilia A. Recurring bleeds in his shoulder caused him to miss many days of school in the past year. He is currently receiving physiotherapy to help ensure that his joints stay healthy and to try and prevent future bleeds. Mohammad lives with his parents, one brother, and two sisters. His father works as a laborer and makes about $100 per month. His younger brother, Ahmed, also has hemophilia. They live in a village, in a four-room house that they own. Their house has a kitchen with a gas stove. It has running water, but they do not have a refrigerator.
