Amitava

Hello! My name is Amitava. I am 24 years old and in my third year of a bachelors degree program in electronics and communications. My favorite subject is physics and when I am done with my studies, I hope to find work as an engineer. In my free time, I like to read and spend time with friends and family. I have severe hemophilia A. This has caused bleeds in my shoulder, hips, and knees in the past six months. I have often needed to use crutches for my knee bleeds and I have missed quite a bit of class time as a result. I live at home with my parents and grandmother. My father works as a farmer and makes about $65 per month. We own a two room house made of tin and mud in our village. Our home does not have running water, but we are able to get it from the nearby well. The floors in our home could use some repairs. I have been part of the sponsorship program since 2012. My previous sponsor recently discontinued their participation in the program and I am now in need of a new sponsor.
