Mahesh
Hello! My name is Mahesh. I am 21 years old and am working towards earning my bachelor's degree in commerce. I am a dedicated student and am having great success at school. My area of focus is taxation and I hope to secure a job in this field when I complete my studies. I have been diagnosed with severe hemophilia A. Over the past six months, I have experienced significant bleeds to my shoulders, arms, knees, and ankles. I was treated with infusions of factor at the local hospital which is 15km from my home. It takes me 30 minutes via public transportation to get there. I live with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, and niece in the city of Indore, India. My father,Bhagirath, is 58 years old and works as a street sweeper. My brother,Ramesh, is 32 years old and works as an electrician. Ramesh also has hemophilia. Their combined monthly income is $164. My mother,Sarswati, and sister-in-law,Seema, are homemakers. My niece,Vaishnavi, is 5 years old and she just started school. We speak Hindi in our home and can also read and write in English. We live in a simple 2-room house that is equipped with electricity, a refrigerator, and a gas burner. Our home lacks indoor plumbing so we need to access water from outside of our home.
