My name is Jorge and my birthday is June 29, 2012. I am 6 years old and in the 1stgrade. The school is 15 blocks from my house and I get there by bike. I am very bright and an excellent student, however, I often missed 15 days of school in a row due to bleeds. I have dreams of being a doctor when I grow up so that I can help kids in pain. I help with chores around my house when I am not at school. I have mild hemophilia A and has frequent bleeds in my knees, ankles, mouth, and gums. The hospital is an hour and half trip from my house and we must take 2 buses to get there. In addition to hemophilia, I also have asthma. I live with my parents and older sister. My dad works in a store and earns $166 a month. My family lives in a small, 2-room, house that is made of wood and has water damage. It has electricity and we do have a refrigerator. We need to get water from a spigot in the village and our toilet is outside. Our family cooks their meals on a gas burner.
