Mohammed
Hello! My name is Mohammed and I am 15 years old. I am currently in the 7th grade and my favorite school subject is Urdu language class. My teachers report that I am a good student. When I am not in school, I like to play indoor games. I aspire to become a teacher someday. I have severe hemophilia B, and bleeds resulting from this have caused me to miss some time at school. I have had issues with my elbows, knees, and ankles and I am receiving physiotherapy to help improve my mobility. I take a bus about 90 minutes in order to get to the hospital to receive these treatments. From left: Ashrafunnisa (mother), myself, and Saba (sister) I live at home with my mother, my aunt, and my sister. We live in a four-room house in the village of Shirali, India and only make about $50 a month. At home, we speak both Urdu, and can read and write some in English as well. Our home has electricity and running water, but we do not own a refrigerator. Meals are cooked inside over a small gas burner.
