Kailash Santu

Kailash and I am 23 years old. He is currently unable to attend school or work due to continuous bleeding problems. He had been working as a DJ and enrolled in a masters program in Hospitality and Tourism, and he would like to work in hotel food and beverage management someday. Outside of studies, he likes to watch TV and spend time with friends. He has severe hemophilia B. His knee and elbow have been most recently affected and required treatment. His right hand, elbow and knee dont work properly due to past bleeds. The hospital is a 90 minute bus and car ride from his home. Kailash lives with his parents. His father is unable to work. His mother required an operation and now cannot do physical work. The family income has been reduced to $50 per month. His family lives in a one-room house made of mud. The home has electricity, running water and an outdoor bathroom. They prepare food using charcoal.
