Azad

This is Azad. He is 17 years old and lives in India. He is currently in the 11th grade and enjoying his studies. School has been going very well for him. His favorite subject is physics and he would like to become a doctor. Outside of school, he likes to watch TV and play with his friends Azad has severe hemophilia A. Recurring bleeds in his left shoulder and left knee have caused him to miss a considerable amount of school. He receives factor at the hospital to treat these bleeds. He is thankful to be receiving physiotherapy in efforts to prevent future bleeds by strengthening his joints. He lives at home with his parents and older brother. His father works as a laborer. The family lives on a little over $200 per month. They were recently able to move into a new home, and half of the cost was subsidized by the government. However, this has caused some financial stress due to the family's already low income. Your sponsorship funds would help to pay for Azad's education.
