Samee Shehzad

This is Samee. He is 14 years old. He just started school last year and he is now in the 2nd grade. He is making good progress. Samee lives with his parents, his two brothers, and two sisters. The kitchen, bath and courtyard need repairs. Samee has type 3 von Willebrand Disease. This past year, he experienced two bleeds in his nose and mouth. He was treated at home with factor concentrate, provided by his hemophilia organization. If there is a medical emergency, his family must travel 200 kilometers to get to the hospital.
